Meta does extensive ad-blocking to prevent a variety of adult products and services from being marketed on Facebook, and it’s a primary reason for rejection yields. However, a new study released by the Center for Intimacy Justice shows these practices are reducing the advertising space for a lot of women’s health products for periods, menopause, and fertility. Despite Facebook prohibiting the sale or use of adult products or services, a variety of male-targeted products get approval. In fact, the report finds ads from companies like Hims and Manscaped are often more suggestive than the ads rejected for women’s health products.
