U.S. nonpolitical advertising is growing at its fastest pace in advertising history, and this means companies are trying desperately to expand. However, there is a dire industry shortage as the churn rate is also at an all-time high. Per the U.S. Labor Department over 4.4 million people quit their jobs, and that is especially prominent in advertising as openings are widespread across major companies. It’s also an incredibly specific insider industry and demand is as hot as ever. Adding to the problem is the number of new hires who leverage another job mere months working for a company, jumping ship for a better role. Digital advertising skillsets are at peak demand and this trend will look to continue as advertising is growing at a record pace. Recruiters, data scientists, and software engineers are among the hardest to fill roles in the digital marketing industry.
