Frank Cooper III will be taking over as global CMO at Visa Inc. Cooper is coming to Visa from BlackRock Inc. where he was the chief marketing officer. The previous CMO at Visa was Lynne Biggar who moved away from the role last month and has yet to announce any future moves. Before BlackRock, Cooper was chief marketing at BuzzFeed and CMO of consumer engagement for Pepsi Co before that. Visa has prominent sponsorships in the Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and the NFL. This could be a difficult time for Visa as they are stopping all transactions with Russian financial institutions in accordance with US sanctions. Cooper will be in charge of all sponsor options and advertising campaigns with Visa and steer the many faces of Visa’s marketing campaigns.
