WePlay Esports, an esports tournament organizer, has announced a strategic partnership with influencer network and media company OTK Media.
Through this agreement, OTK will gain access to WePlay’s production facilities so that it can stream live mixed-media content and utilize VR and AR technologies.
The partnership was announced from the newly opened WePlay Esports Arena in Los Angeles, marking WePlay’s first foray into the American market. This venue is specifically designed to integrate AR media and reach a global digital audience. LA is WePlay’s second major esports arena, following the one located in Kyiv, Ukraine.
This represents OTK’s second physical location, with the facility designed to enhance its content offerings. Furthermore, OTK will use the newly opened arena to host competitive events.
The company was founded in 2020 in Austin, Texas, and previously competed professionally in World of Warcraft. WePlay Esports joins the company’s roster of partners that include Mountain Dew, Mountain Dew Game Fuel, Gatorade, and Twitch.
On its WePlay Compete platform, WePlay launched a series of online League of Legends tournaments earlier this year.
